Getting started with Adobe Firefly
In this guide, you'll learn how to quickly start using Adobe Firefly for generating images from text prompts and applying styles in your designs. You'll be able to create commercially safe content efficiently using this powerful AI tool.Step 1: Sign up and set up
- Go to Adobe Firefly.
- Click on the "Get Started" button.
- Sign in with your Adobe ID or create a new account if you don’t have one.
- Choose the free plan to get 25 credits per month.
- Once logged in, navigate to the Firefly interface available in Photoshop, Illustrator, or Express.
Step 2: Your first image generation
- Open Adobe Firefly within Photoshop or Illustrator.
- Locate the "Text to Image" tool from the main menu.
- In the prompt box, type a descriptive phrase for the image you want to create (e.g., "a serene sunset over a mountain range").
- Click the "Generate" button.
- Review the generated images; select one you like and click "Insert" to add it to your project.
Step 3: Get better results
- Use specific and detailed prompts to improve the quality of generated images. Instead of "dog," try "a fluffy golden retriever puppy playing in a park."
- Experiment with the "Style Transfer" feature by selecting an image style from the gallery and applying it to your generated images.
- Adjust the settings such as aspect ratio or resolution in the options panel before generating to suit your project needs.
