Getting started with Aiarty Image Matting

In this guide, you'll learn how to efficiently remove backgrounds from images using Aiarty Image Matting, focusing on intricate details like hair and fur. By the end, you'll be able to create professional-looking images with ease.

Step 1: Sign up and set up

  1. Visit Aiarty's website.
  2. Click on the Get Started button located on the homepage.
  3. If prompted, create an account by entering your email and choosing a password, or sign up using Google or Facebook for quicker access.
  4. Once registered, log in to your account.

Step 2: Your first image matting

  1. After logging in, click on the Upload Image button on your dashboard.
  2. Select the image you wish to edit from your device.
  3. Once the image is uploaded, the AI will automatically start processing it. Wait a moment for the tool to analyse and remove the background.
  4. Review the output. If you’re satisfied, click the Download button to save the image. If not, click on the Refine option to make adjustments.
  5. Use the brush tool to add or remove areas of the image that you want to adjust. Once you're happy with the changes, click Apply and then download the final image.

Step 3: Get better results

  • For better precision, use the Refine Edges tool after the initial background removal. This allows you to enhance the outline of hair and fine details.
  • Experiment with the Zoom feature to closely inspect areas needing refinement.
  • If the image has a complex background, try uploading a higher resolution image for better results.

Pro tip

Always start with a well-lit, high-resolution image. This will help the AI to distinguish between the subject and the background more effectively, resulting in cleaner cuts.

Common mistake to avoid

Avoid uploading images with busy backgrounds or low contrast between the subject and background. This can confuse the AI and lead to poor results. If necessary, simplify the background before uploading.
