Getting started with Chatbase
In this guide, you'll learn how to create your first AI chatbot using Chatbase. You'll be able to upload documents, connect your website, and deploy a support bot tailored to your needs in just a few minutes.Step 1: Sign up and set up
- Go to Chatbase.co.
- Click on the “Sign Up” button in the top right corner.
- Enter your email address and create a password, or sign up using Google or Microsoft.
- Check your email for a verification link and click on it to activate your account.
- Once logged in, you’ll be taken to the dashboard where you can start building your chatbot.
Step 2: Your first chatbot
- Click on the “Create Bot” button on your dashboard.
- Choose a name for your bot and select a template that suits your needs (e.g., FAQ, support).
- Upload documents that contain the information you want your bot to use. Click “Upload Document” and select files from your device.
- After uploading, click on “Train Bot” to let Chatbase process your documents.
- Once training is complete, click on “Test Bot” to interact with your chatbot and ensure it responds correctly.
Step 3: Get better results
- Use the “Settings” menu to adjust your bot’s response style. You can choose between formal, friendly, or concise responses.
- Add FAQs or specific questions under the “Knowledge Base” section to guide your bot’s responses.
- Use the “Integrations” tab to connect your bot to your website. Click on “Add Integration” and follow the prompts to generate the embed code.
- Regularly monitor the “Analytics” section to see how users are interacting with your bot and adjust training data accordingly.
