Getting started with Clearscope

In this guide, you’ll learn how to use Clearscope to optimise your content for search engines effectively. You’ll be able to create relevant, SEO-friendly articles that align with search intent in just a few simple steps.

Step 1: Sign up and set up

  1. Go to Clearscope's website.
  2. Click on the Get Started button in the top right corner.
  3. Choose a plan (note that there is no free tier) and fill in your details to create your account.
  4. Once signed up, log in to your account and familiarise yourself with the dashboard.

Step 2: Your first content optimisation

  1. On the dashboard, click on the New Report button.
  2. Enter your target keyword or topic in the search bar and click Create Report.
  3. Wait for the analysis to complete. This may take a moment.
  4. Review the report, which will include relevant keywords, recommended topics, and a content grade.
  5. Use the Editor feature to start drafting your content. As you write, pay attention to the suggestions and adjustments Clearscope provides in real-time.

Step 3: Get better results

  1. Incorporate the suggested keywords and topics into your draft. Aim for a higher content grade by including more relevant terms.
  2. Use the Competitors section to analyse top-ranking articles for your target keyword. Note their structure and topics they cover.
  3. Regularly check the Readability score and adjust your writing accordingly to improve clarity.

Pro tip

Use the Export feature to download your report as a PDF. This allows you to collaborate with others or keep a record of your optimisation strategy without having to log in repeatedly.

Common mistake to avoid

Many beginners forget to adjust their content based on the feedback provided by Clearscope. Simply drafting without incorporating the suggestions will lead to lower optimisation scores and less effective content. Always aim to improve your writing based on the real-time analysis provided.
