Step 1: Sign up and set up

  1. Go to Codefly's website.
  2. Click on the “Sign Up” button in the top right corner.
  3. Fill in the required fields, including your email and password, then click “Create Account.”
  4. Verify your email by clicking the link sent to your inbox.
  5. Log in to your new account. You’ll be taken to the dashboard.

Step 2: Your first code generation

  1. From the dashboard, click on “Plugins” in the left sidebar.
  2. Browse the available plugins and select one that suits your needs (e.g., "API Generator").
  3. Click on the “Install” button next to the chosen plugin.
  4. Once installed, click on the plugin’s name to open it.
  5. Fill in the required fields, such as endpoint details and data models, and click “Generate Code.”
  6. The generated code will appear in a text area. You can copy it directly from there.

Step 3: Get better results

  1. Explore various plugins for different tasks, such as deployment or testing.
  2. Use the “Settings” option within each plugin to customise code generation. You can adjust options like language and framework preferences.
  3. Save your configurations as templates for future use. Click on “Save as Template” after generating code to quickly access your settings later.
