Getting started with Colossyan

In this guide, you'll learn how to create AI-generated videos for corporate training and internal communications using Colossyan. You'll be able to upload scripts, select avatars, and produce engaging video content in just a few steps.

Step 1: Sign up and set up

  1. Go to Colossyan's website.
  2. Click on the "Get Started" button in the top right corner.
  3. Choose the free 14-day trial option and fill in your details to create an account.
  4. Confirm your email address through the verification email sent to you.
  5. Once logged in, you will land on the dashboard where you can start creating your first video.

Step 2: Your first video

  1. From the dashboard, click on the "Create New Video" button.
  2. Choose a presenter avatar from the library. You can preview each avatar by hovering over them.
  3. Upload your presentation or script by clicking on the "Upload" button or pasting your text directly into the provided text box.
  4. Adjust the settings for your video, such as video length and language, using the options on the right side of the screen.
  5. Click on "Generate Video" to start the creation process. This may take a few moments.
  6. Once the video is ready, you can preview it, make any necessary adjustments, and then download or share it directly from the platform.

Step 3: Get better results

  • To enhance your videos, consider customising the avatar's appearance and voice to match your brand. Click on the “Customise” button next to the avatar selection.
  • Use bullet points in your script for clearer delivery and pacing. This helps the AI generate a more engaging presentation.
  • Experiment with different avatars and languages to see which combination resonates best with your audience.

Pro tip

Use the "Save Template" feature after customising an avatar and setting preferences for your video. This allows you to quickly reuse the same settings for future videos, saving you time in production.

Common mistake to avoid

Avoid pasting overly long scripts in one go. Instead, break your content into sections or bullet points. This helps maintain clarity and ensures the AI delivers your message effectively.
