Getting started with Kit
In this guide, you'll learn how to set up your Kit account and create your first email marketing campaign. By the end, you'll be ready to engage with your audience using automated workflows and landing pages.Step 1: Sign up and set up
- Go to kit.com.
- Click on the Get Started Free button.
- Fill in your email address and create a password, then click Create Account.
- Follow the prompts to complete your profile, including entering your name and selecting your creator type (e.g., blogger, podcaster).
- Once you're in, navigate to the Dashboard.
Step 2: Your first email campaign
- From the Dashboard, click on Email in the left sidebar.
- Click the Create New Email button.
- Choose a name for your email campaign and select Next.
- Write your subject line and body content in the editor. Use the formatting tools to style your text.
- Click Add Recipients to choose your audience. You can select segments or all subscribers.
- Review your email and click Schedule or Send to launch your campaign.
Step 3: Get better results
- Explore the Automations tab on the left sidebar. Click on Create Automation.
- Use the drag-and-drop interface to set triggers (e.g., when someone subscribes) and actions (e.g., send a welcome email).
- Test your automations by sending test emails to yourself before going live.
- Regularly check the Analytics section to review open rates and engagement, helping you refine future campaigns.
