A practical guide to get you up and running with Craiyon. Written by Delv Editorial, Delv Team.
Getting started with Craiyon
In this guide, you'll learn how to create images from text prompts using Craiyon, a free AI image generator. You’ll be able to generate unique images quickly without needing to sign up or pay.Step 1: Sign up and set up
- Open your web browser and go to Craiyon.com.
- You'll land on the homepage, which features a simple interface.
- No sign-up is required; you can start generating images immediately.
Step 2: Your first image
- In the text box that says “What do you want to see?”, type a clear and specific prompt describing the image you want (e.g., “a cat wearing a wizard hat”).
- Click the “Draw” button below the text box.
- Wait a moment while Craiyon generates your image. It will display several variations once complete.
- Click on any image to view it in a larger format. You can right-click to save the image to your device.
Step 3: Get better results
- Be specific in your prompts. Instead of “dog,” try “a golden retriever playing in a park.”
- Use descriptive adjectives (e.g., “a futuristic cityscape at sunset”).
- If you want a particular style (like “watercolour” or “cartoon”), include that in your prompt.
