Getting started with DeepL Write
In this guide, you'll learn how to sign up for DeepL Write and how to use it to enhance your writing. You'll be ready to create clear, translation-ready documents in just a few minutes.Step 1: Sign up and set up
- Go to DeepL Write.
- Click on the "Get started for free" button.
- Enter your email address and create a password, or sign up using your Google or Microsoft account.
- Confirm your email if prompted.
- Once logged in, you'll be taken to the main interface where you can start writing.
Step 2: Your first document
- In the main interface, click on the "New Document" button.
- Type or paste your text into the editor on the left side of the screen.
- As you write, suggestions for improvements will appear in real-time on the right side.
- Review the suggestions and click on any highlighted text to see options for edits, such as grammar corrections or style enhancements.
- Make the changes directly in your document as needed.
Step 3: Get better results
- Use the "Conciseness" and "Clarity" checkboxes located at the top of the suggestions panel to filter the types of improvements you want to focus on.
- Pay attention to idiomatic phrases that are flagged; these might confuse non-native speakers.
- If you're preparing a document for translation, ensure that your language is straightforward and avoids complex structures.
