Getting started with Docsumo
In this guide, you will learn how to set up Docsumo and extract structured data from your documents quickly. By the end, you’ll be able to process invoices, receipts, and financial statements using AI, saving you significant manual review time.Step 1: Sign up and set up
- Go to Docsumo's website.
- Click on the “Get Started Free” button on the homepage.
- Fill in your details to create an account or sign up using Google.
- Once registered, log in to your dashboard.
- Familiarise yourself with the interface; you’ll see options for uploading documents, managing projects, and viewing analytics.
Step 2: Your first extraction
- From the dashboard, click on the “Upload Document” button.
- Select the type of document you want to extract data from (e.g., Invoice, Receipt).
- Choose a file from your computer (you can upload up to 1,000 pages if you are on the free tier).
- After the upload, click on “Start Extraction”.
- Wait for the AI to process the document; this usually takes a few moments.
- Once processed, click on the document name to view the extracted data.
- Review the extracted fields and make any necessary adjustments.
Step 3: Get better results
- Use the “Template” feature to save extraction settings for future documents of the same type. Click “Save as Template” after reviewing any document.
- Explore the “Validation” settings to ensure data accuracy. You can set rules for specific fields, ensuring the AI learns from corrections.
- Regularly check the “Analytics” section to track your extraction accuracy and efficiency over time.
