Getting started with Elai

In this guide, you'll learn how to quickly create avatar-narrated videos from text, slides, or URLs using Elai. By the end, you'll be able to produce engaging videos in just a few minutes.

Step 1: Sign up and set up

  1. Go to elai.io.
  2. Click on the Sign Up button in the top right corner.
  3. Fill in your details or sign up using Google.
  4. Once signed up, log in to your account.
  5. Familiarise yourself with the dashboard; you will see options for creating a new video.

Step 2: Your first video

  1. Click on the Create Video button.
  2. Choose your input method: Text, Slides, or URL.
- For text: Select Text and enter your script in the provided text box. - For slides: Select Slides and upload your presentation file. - For URL: Select URL and paste the link of the webpage you want to convert.
  1. Click on Next.
  2. Choose an avatar from the selection provided.
  3. Adjust the video settings, including the voice and language options as desired.
  4. Click on the Generate Video button to create your video.
  5. Once the video is ready, click Download to save it to your device.

Step 3: Get better results

  • Experiment with different avatars and voice options to find the combination that best suits your content.
  • Use bullet points in your text for clarity and pacing.
  • Keep your script concise; aim for a 1-2 minute video length for optimal engagement.
  • Review the video before finalising; you can make edits directly in the text box if needed.

Pro tip

Use the Preview feature after generating your video to quickly check for any errors or adjustments needed before downloading. This saves time instead of re-generating the video multiple times.

Common mistake to avoid

Avoid overly lengthy scripts. Text-to-video tools work best with concise content. If your script is too long, it may lead to a disjointed or rushed presentation. Aim for clarity and brevity for the best results.
