A practical guide to get you up and running with Genmo. Written by Delv Editorial, Delv Team.

Getting started with Genmo

In this guide, you'll learn how to create engaging videos from text prompts using Genmo. By the end, you'll be able to generate your first video and understand how to enhance its quality.

Step 1: Sign up and set up

  1. Go to Genmo's website.
  2. Click on the "Get Started" button located in the top right corner.
  3. Choose to sign up with your email or through a social media account.
  4. Follow the prompts to verify your account and complete your profile.
  5. Once logged in, you’ll be taken to the dashboard where you can start creating videos.

Step 2: Your first video

  1. On the dashboard, click on the “Create Video” button.
  2. In the prompt box, type your text description. Be specific about the content you want in the video (e.g., "A cat playing with a ball in a sunny park").
  3. Select your preferred style from the options provided (e.g., "Animated," "Realistic," etc.).
  4. Click the “Generate” button to start the video creation process.
  5. Wait for a few moments while Genmo processes your request. Once done, you’ll see a preview of your video.
  6. If you’re happy with it, click “Download” to save the video or “Edit” to make adjustments.

Step 3: Get better results

  • Experiment with different styles and prompts to see which combinations work best for your content.
  • Use bullet points in your text prompts to break down complex ideas into simpler visuals.
  • Consider adding background music or voiceover by clicking on the “Add Audio” option after generating your video.

Pro tip

To save time, create a template for your video prompts. This way, you can quickly adjust specific elements without starting from scratch each time.

Common mistake to avoid

Avoid overly vague descriptions in your prompts. The more detailed you are, the better the generated video will match your expectations. For example, instead of saying "a dog," specify "a golden retriever playing fetch at the beach."
