- Sign in with your Google account or create a new one.
- Click "Set up property" and fill in your website name, URL, industry category, and reporting time zone.
- Click "Create" to generate your tracking ID.
- Follow the instructions to add the tracking code to your website, either directly in your site's HTML or via a tag manager.
Step 2: Your first report
- After setting up, return to the Google Analytics dashboard.
- Click on "Reports" in the left sidebar.
- Select "Realtime" to see live user activity on your site.
- Click on "Audience" to explore demographic data about your visitors.
- Use the "Acquisition" section to see where your traffic is coming from, such as organic search, social media, or direct visits.
