Getting started with Greenhouse
In this guide, you'll learn how to set up your Greenhouse account and begin using its structured hiring tools to streamline your recruitment process. After reading, you'll be able to create scorecards and interview kits to improve your hiring consistency.Step 1: Sign up and set up
- Visit Greenhouse website.
- Click on the "Get Started" button located at the top right corner of the homepage.
- Fill in the required information to request a demo or contact sales for custom pricing.
- Once your account is set up, log in using your credentials.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to configure your company settings, including adding team members and defining your hiring process.
Step 2: Your first job opening
- From the Greenhouse dashboard, click on the "Jobs" tab in the left-hand menu.
- Click the "Create Job" button.
- Fill in the job title, department, and location, then click "Create Job" to proceed.
- Navigate to the "Scorecards" section and click "Add Scorecard" to define the skills and attributes needed for the role.
- Go to the "Interview Kit" section and click "Add Interview Kit" to create tailored questions for interviewers based on the scorecard.
- Save your job opening and share it on your preferred job boards through the "Distribute" button.
Step 3: Get better results
- Use the "Scorecards" feature to ensure interviewers assess candidates consistently. Encourage your team to fill these out after each interview.
- Regularly review and update your interview kits based on feedback from interviewers to ensure questions remain relevant and effective.
- Leverage the analytics dashboard to track the performance of each job opening and identify areas for improvement in your hiring process.
