How to Use Hyper3D

A practical guide to get you up and running with Hyper3D. Written by Delv Editorial, Delv Team.

Getting started with Hyper3D

In this guide, you'll learn how to quickly create PBR materials using Hyper3D for your game design or 3D artistry projects. By the end, you'll be able to generate high-quality texture maps efficiently and effectively.

Step 1: Sign up and set up

  1. Go to Hyper3D.
  2. Click on the “Sign Up” button located in the top right corner of the homepage.
  3. Fill in your details and follow the prompts to create your account. You can use the free tier to start generating textures.
  4. Once signed up, log in to access the dashboard.

Step 2: Your first texture

  1. On the dashboard, click on the “Create Texture” button.
  2. Choose the type of texture you want to create (e.g., Diffuse, Normal, Displacement).
  3. Enter a description of the texture you want in the prompt box. Be specific for better results (e.g., "rusty metal surface").
  4. Click the “Generate” button. Wait for a few moments while Hyper3D processes your request.
  5. Once generated, you’ll see a preview of your texture. Click on “Download” to save the texture files to your device.

Step 3: Get better results

  1. Use detailed and descriptive prompts for texture generation. Instead of simply saying "wood", specify "aged oak wood with knots and grain".
  2. Experiment with different textures by adjusting the settings in the “Advanced Options” menu, such as resolution or material type.
  3. Check the “Sample Outputs” section to see examples of textures similar to what you want to create. This can inspire your prompts.

Pro tip

Use the “Save as Template” feature after creating a texture you like. This allows you to quickly generate similar textures in the future without re-entering all your settings.

Common mistake to avoid

Avoid vague prompts like "nice texture". Specificity is key in Hyper3D; the more detailed your request, the better the output.
