Getting started with Jasper

In this guide, you'll learn how to create compelling marketing copy, blog posts, and ad content using Jasper. By the end, you'll be able to generate high-quality text quickly and efficiently.

  1. Visit Jasper's website.
  2. Click on the "Get Started for Free" button on the homepage.
  3. Fill in your details to create an account or sign up using Google.
  4. Once signed in, follow the prompts to choose your plan. You can start with the free trial to explore the features.
  5. After signing up, you’ll be taken to the dashboard where you can access the templates.

Step 2: Your first blog post

  1. From the dashboard, click on "Templates" in the left sidebar.
  2. Select "Blog Post" from the list of templates.
  3. Fill in the required fields: enter your blog post title, specify the tone of voice, and add any keywords you'd like to include.
  4. Click on the "Generate AI Content" button.
  5. Review the generated content. You can edit directly in the text box or click "Generate More" for additional options.
  6. Once satisfied, click "Copy to clipboard" to save your text for use.

Step 3: Get better results

  • Use the "Content Improver" template to refine existing text. Paste your draft in and click "Generate" for enhanced suggestions.
  • Experiment with different tones of voice by adjusting the settings in the template. This helps tailor the output to your brand’s style.
  • Create a project folder to organise your content. Use the "Folders" feature in the dashboard for easy access.

Pro tip

Take advantage of the "Brand Voice" training feature. Set up specific guidelines for your tone and style; this will improve the consistency of your generated content.

Common mistake to avoid

Avoid skipping the initial setup of your brand voice. If you don’t input your preferred tone, the AI may generate text that doesn't align with your brand, resulting in a less effective outcome.
