  5. Log in to your new account. You may be prompted to set up your website details and install the Kameleoon tracking code on your site.

Step 2: Your first A/B test

  1. Once logged in, navigate to the “Experiments” tab in the left sidebar.
  2. Click on “Create Experiment”.
  3. Choose “A/B Test” from the options presented.
  4. Enter a name for your test and select the URL of the page you want to test.
  5. Use the prompt box to describe the changes you want to test (e.g., “Change the button text to 'Sign Up Now'”).
  6. Click “Preview” to see your changes. Make any adjustments if necessary.
  7. Set your targeting options (who will see the test) and click “Start Experiment” to launch it.

Step 3: Get better results

  • Regularly review the performance metrics available under the “Results” tab for your experiment.
  • Use the AI suggestions feature to refine your prompts based on user behaviour and engagement data.
  • Consider running multiple variations of your tests to gather more data for comparison.

Pro tip

Use the built-in templates for common experiments. These templates can save you time and guide you on effective strategies that have worked for others.

Common mistake to avoid

Don’t forget to set your experiment duration. A common mistake is running tests for too short a time, which can lead to inconclusive results. Aim for a minimum of one week to gather adequate data.
