Getting started with Keenious

In this guide, you'll learn how to use Keenious to find relevant research papers for your draft text. By the end, you’ll be able to paste your text and receive AI-powered recommendations that enhance your academic work.

Step 1: Sign up and set up

  1. Go to keenious.com.
  2. Click on the "Sign Up" button at the top right corner.
  3. Fill in your email address and create a password, or sign up using your Google account.
  4. Once registered, you’ll be directed to your dashboard. You can start with the free tier, which allows a limited number of recommendations.

Step 2: Your first recommendation

  1. On your dashboard, look for the "Paste your text" box.
  2. Copy your draft text (e.g., an abstract or research question) and paste it into this box.
  3. Click on the "Get Recommendations" button.
  4. After a few moments, Keenious will display a list of relevant research papers.
  5. Click on any title to view more details, including abstracts and links to the papers.

Step 3: Get better results

  1. To refine your recommendations, consider adding specific keywords or phrases to your draft text that reflect the focus of your research.
  2. Use the “Filters” option to narrow down results by publication year or type of paper.
  3. Regularly check the “My Recommendations” section for updates and new papers added to the database.

Pro tip

When pasting your draft, ensure it’s clear and concise. The more focused your text, the better the recommendations will be. Avoid using overly technical jargon that may confuse the AI.

Common mistake to avoid

Don’t rush to click "Get Recommendations" without reviewing your pasted text. Typos or unclear writing can lead to irrelevant suggestions, wasting your time in the search for quality research. Always double-check your input for clarity.
