Getting started with LANDR

In this guide, you'll learn how to master your music tracks using LANDR's AI technology. By the end, you'll be able to upload your music and apply professional-quality mastering with just a few clicks.

Step 1: Sign up and set up

  1. Go to landr.com.
  2. Click on the Sign Up button located at the top right corner of the homepage.
  3. Choose to sign up with your email address or through a social media account.
  4. Follow the prompts to create your account. You can start with the free tier, which allows you to master a limited number of tracks.

Step 2: Your first mastering

  1. Once logged in, click on Mastering from the main menu.
  2. Click on the Upload button to select the audio file you want to master. Supported formats include WAV, MP3, and AIFF.
  3. After the upload is complete, you will see a preview of your track. Here, you can select a mastering style from options like Electronic, Acoustic, or Pop.
  4. Click on the Master button to start the mastering process. Wait a moment while LANDR analyses your track.
  5. Once done, you can listen to the mastered version by clicking the Play button. If you're happy with it, click Download to save it to your device.

Step 3: Get better results

  1. Experiment with different mastering styles to find the one that best suits your track. You can always go back and re-master the same track.
  2. Use the Fine-Tune option (if available in your tier) to adjust the intensity of the mastering effect based on your preference.
  3. Consider uploading high-quality audio files (WAV format) for better results.

Pro tip

Before uploading, ensure your track is mixed well. LANDR works best with a balanced mix, so check levels and panning to avoid unwanted surprises in the final master.

Common mistake to avoid

Many users forget to check the track length before uploading. If your track is over 20 minutes, it may not be supported on the free tier. Always ensure your track is within the limits to avoid upload issues.
