Getting started with Linguix

After reading this guide, you'll be able to use Linguix to check grammar, paraphrase sentences, and improve your writing quality quickly and effectively.

Step 1: Sign up and set up

  1. Go to linguix.com.
  2. Click on the "Get Started" button on the homepage.
  3. Choose "Sign up" to create a free account. You can sign up using your email or through Google.
  4. Follow the prompts to verify your email and complete your profile.

Step 2: Your first grammar check

  1. Once logged in, you will be directed to the dashboard. Click on the "New Document" button.
  2. In the text editor, paste or type the text you want to check.
  3. As you write, Linguix will automatically underline grammar, style, and punctuation errors.
  4. Click on the underlined words or phrases to see suggestions. You can choose to accept or ignore these suggestions by clicking the "Accept" button or the "Ignore" button.
  5. To paraphrase a sentence, highlight the text, then click on the "Paraphrase" option that appears in the toolbar.

Step 3: Get better results

  1. Use the "Settings" icon (gear icon) in the top right corner to adjust your preferences. You can choose between different writing styles such as formal or casual.
  2. Use the "Plagiarism Checker" option to ensure your content is original. Click on the "Check for Plagiarism" button in the toolbar after writing.
  3. To save time, regularly use the "Shortcuts" feature found in the menu for quick access to common phrases and corrections.

Pro tip

Most beginners miss the "Writing Goals" feature. Before you start writing, set specific goals like "formal tone" or "conciseness" to tailor the suggestions to your needs.
