Getting started with LongShot AI

In this guide, you will learn how to create factually accurate long-form content using LongShot AI. By the end, you’ll be able to draft articles and get instant citations to support your claims.

Step 1: Sign up and set up

  1. Go to LongShot AI.
  2. Click on the "Get Started" button in the top right corner.
  3. Choose the Free plan option to sign up without any cost.
  4. Fill in your email and create a password, then click "Sign Up".
  5. Verify your email by clicking the link sent to your inbox.
  6. Log in to your new account.

Step 2: Your first article

  1. Once logged in, click on the "Create New Document" button on your dashboard.
  2. In the document editor, enter your article's topic in the title field.
  3. Click on the "Generate Outline" button. LongShot will create a structured outline based on your topic.
  4. Review the outline and click "Insert Outline" to add it to your document.
  5. Start writing your content under each section. Use the "Research" tab on the right to find facts and sources.
  6. Highlight any claims you want to verify, then click the "Fact Check" button. LongShot will provide sources to back up your statement.
  7. To add citations, click on the "Insert Citation" option next to the relevant fact-checked claim.

Step 3: Get better results

  • Use specific keywords in your title and sections to guide LongShot in generating relevant content.
  • Regularly click the "Fact Check" button as you write to ensure your information remains accurate.
  • Explore the "Templates" section for pre-designed formats that can help structure your articles more efficiently.
