Getting started with MarketMuse
In this guide, you'll learn how to set up your MarketMuse account and create your first content brief. By the end, you'll be able to identify content gaps and optimise your content strategy effectively.Step 1: Sign up and set up
- Go to MarketMuse.
- Click on the Get Started button in the top right corner.
- Choose the Free Plan option to create an account without any cost.
- Fill in your details and click Sign Up. You may need to verify your email address.
- Once logged in, complete your profile by entering your website URL and selecting your industry.
Step 2: Your first content brief
- On the dashboard, click on Content Briefs in the left-hand menu.
- Click the Create New Brief button.
- Enter a topic or keyword you want to focus on and click Generate Brief.
- Wait a moment for MarketMuse to process your request. Once done, you’ll see a detailed brief including content gaps, suggested word counts, and related topics.
- Use this brief to guide your writing or content planning.
Step 3: Get better results
- Explore the Competitive Analysis section of your brief to see how you stack up against top-ranking content.
- Adjust the Target Word Count based on the suggestions to ensure thorough coverage of the topic.
- Incorporate the related topics and keywords listed in the brief to enhance your content’s relevance.
- Regularly check back on your content performance using the Content Performance feature to refine your strategy.
