Getting started with Metaview

After reading this guide, you'll be able to set up your Metaview account and generate structured interview notes automatically, allowing you to focus on what really matters during your interviews.

Step 1: Sign up and set up

  1. Go to metaview.ai.
  2. Click on the "Get Started" button in the top right corner.
  3. Choose the free plan to start with. Enter your email address and create a password, then click “Sign Up”.
  4. Confirm your email through the link sent to your inbox.
  5. Once verified, log in to your account and complete your profile by adding your name and job title.

Step 2: Your first interview notes

  1. Schedule an interview using your preferred calendar tool and ensure you have a video conferencing link ready.
  2. During the interview, open Metaview in a separate tab or window.
  3. Once the interview starts, click on the “Record” button in Metaview. This will capture the audio of the conversation.
  4. After the interview ends, return to Metaview, and click on “Generate Notes”.
  5. Choose your preferred format for the notes: bullet points, detailed paragraphs, or scorecard format, then click “Generate”.

Step 3: Get better results

  1. Use the “Custom Prompts” feature to tailor the type of notes you want. Click on “Settings” and then “Custom Prompts” to add specific questions or focus areas.
  2. Review and edit the generated notes for clarity and relevance before sharing them with your team.
  3. Make use of the “Tagging” feature by assigning relevant tags to candidates to enhance searchability later.

Pro tip

Set a reminder to review your notes immediately after each interview. This will help you recall important details while they are still fresh in your mind, leading to more accurate edits and insights.

Common mistake to avoid

Avoid forgetting to click the “Record” button before the interview starts. If you miss this step, you won’t have any audio to generate notes from, resulting in lost information and wasted time.
