Getting started with Notta
With Notta, you can easily transcribe audio and video into text with high accuracy. This guide will take you from sign-up to your first transcription in just a few minutes.Step 1: Sign up and set up
- Go to Notta's website.
- Click on the "Sign Up" button in the top right corner.
- Choose to sign up using your email or a social media account (Google or Facebook).
- Follow the prompts to verify your account via email.
- Once logged in, you'll see the Notta dashboard.
Step 2: Your first transcription
- On the dashboard, click the "New Transcription" button.
- Choose whether to upload an audio/video file or record directly by clicking "Record" (you may need to allow microphone access).
- If uploading, select your file and click "Upload".
- Choose your language from the drop-down menu.
- Click the "Start Transcription" button. Notta will process the audio/video and generate a transcript.
- Once completed, you’ll see your transcript in the editor. You can play the audio alongside the text for easy editing.
Step 3: Get better results
- For improved accuracy, ensure your audio quality is high; reduce background noise if possible.
- Use the "Speaker Identification" feature if your recording has multiple speakers. Click on the "Settings" icon and enable "Speaker Recognition".
- Edit any errors directly in the transcript for clarity.
- To export, click the "Export" button at the top right, and choose your preferred format (e.g., TXT, DOCX).
Pro tip
Use keyboard shortcuts while editing your transcript. For example, useCtrl + Z to undo changes quickly. This can save you time when making corrections.
