In this guide, you’ll learn how to transform long video content into engaging short clips optimised for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts using Opus Clip. By the end, you’ll be ready to repurpose your videos quickly and effectively.

Step 1: Sign up and set up

1. Go to Opus Clip's website.
2. Click on the Get Started button on the homepage.
3. Choose the Free Plan to create an account without any cost.
4. Fill in your email and create a password, then click Sign Up.
5. Verify your email by clicking the link sent to your inbox.

Step 2: Your first video repurposing

1. Once logged in, click on the Upload Video button on the dashboard.
2. Select a long video file from your device (up to 90 minutes for the free tier).
3. After the upload completes, Opus Clip will automatically analyse the video. This may take a few moments.
4. Once analysis is done, you’ll see suggested clips. Click on any clip to preview it.
