Getting started with Outranking

In this guide, you will learn how to sign up for Outranking, create your first SEO content brief, and optimise your writing for better search engine rankings. By the end, you’ll have the skills to generate content that is both relevant and tailored for SEO.

Step 1: Sign up and set up

  1. Go to Outranking's website.
  2. Click on the “Get Started” button located on the homepage.
  3. Fill in your email address and create a password, or sign up using a Google account.
  4. Once registered, check your email for a verification link and click to activate your account.
  5. Log in to your new account, and you’ll be directed to the dashboard.

Step 2: Your first SEO content brief

  1. On the dashboard, click on the “New Project” button.
  2. Enter your project name and select your target keyword in the provided field.
  3. Click “Create Brief” to generate a new SEO content brief.
  4. The AI will analyse SERP data and present you with an outline, including headings, suggested word count, and relevant keywords.
  5. Review the suggested headings and click on each to view recommended content and sources that can be included in your writing.
  6. Use the “Write” button next to each section to start drafting your content based on the brief.

Step 3: Get better results

  1. Make use of the “Content Optimisation” feature by clicking on the relevant button after drafting your content.
  2. Enter your target keyword and any additional keywords you want to include.
  3. Review the optimisation suggestions, which will guide you on keyword density, readability, and additional topics to cover.
  4. Adjust your content accordingly to improve its SEO performance.

When creating your brief, consider including multiple target keywords. This allows Outranking to generate a more comprehensive brief that covers various aspects of your topic, improving your chances of ranking for related searches.
