Getting started with Picsart

In this guide, you will learn how to create stunning edits using Picsart's AI-powered tools for both photos and videos. By the end, you'll be able to enhance your images and generate new ones based on text prompts.

Step 1: Sign up and set up

  1. Go to picsart.com.
  2. Click on the “Sign Up” button in the top right corner.
  3. Choose to sign up with your email, Google, or Facebook account.
  4. After signing up, you'll be taken to the homepage where you can explore features. You can start with the free plan, which includes basic editing tools.

Step 2: Your first edit

  1. Click on the “Create” button in the centre of the homepage.
  2. Select “Edit a Photo” or “Edit a Video” based on your needs.
  3. Upload your image or video by clicking the “Upload” button or drag and drop your file.
  4. Use the tools on the left sidebar to enhance your image. For instance, click on “Effects” to apply filters or “Text” to add captions.
  5. Once satisfied, click “Download” in the top right corner to save your edited file.

Step 3: Get better results

  1. Explore the “Templates” section by clicking on “Templates” in the left sidebar. This gives you pre-designed layouts for quick edits.
  2. For AI image generation, select “AI Tools” from the left sidebar, then click “AI Image Generator.”
  3. Enter a descriptive text prompt in the input box and click “Generate.” You can refine your prompt for better results.
  4. Experiment with the “Brush” tool for manual adjustments, and remember to save your work frequently.

Pro tip

Take advantage of the “Undo” button (located at the top left) to revert changes easily while editing, saving you time when trying different effects.
