Getting started with Pixelcut

In this guide, you'll learn how to effectively use Pixelcut for editing product images, including background removal and staging. By the end, you'll be able to enhance your e-commerce photos quickly and efficiently.

Step 1: Sign up and set up

1. Go to Pixelcut.
2. Click on the Get Started Free button.
3. Sign up using your email or continue with Google.
4. Once signed in, explore the dashboard where you'll find options for background removal, product staging, and batch editing.

Step 2: Your first background removal

1. From the dashboard, click on Background Remover.
2. Upload an image by clicking the Upload Image button or drag and drop your file into the designated area.
3. Wait for the AI to process your image; this usually takes a few seconds.
4. Once processed, you'll see the product isolated from its background. You can refine the edges using the Refine tool if necessary.
5. Click Download to save your edited image.

Step 3: Get better results

• Use high-quality images for best results. The clearer your product, the better the AI can isolate it.
• After background removal, try using the Product Staging feature. Click on Staging, select a background from the available templates, and place your product for a professional look.
• For batch editing, go to the Batch Editor tab, upload multiple images, and apply the same background removal process to all at once.

Pro tip

Use keyboard shortcuts where possible. For instance, after uploading an image, pressing Enter will start the background removal process instantly, saving you time.

Common mistake to avoid

Avoid uploading images with complex backgrounds or low resolution. The AI may struggle with intricate details, leading to unsatisfactory results. Stick to clear, well-lit images for optimal performance.
