Getting started with Playground AI

In this guide, you'll learn how to generate images using Playground AI's intuitive platform. By the end, you'll be able to create and edit images easily, even if you have no prior experience.

Step 1: Sign up and set up

1. Go to Playground AI.
2. Click on the "Sign Up" button in the top right corner.
3. Enter your email address and create a password, or sign up using Google for quicker access.
4. Confirm your email address via the link sent to your inbox.
5. Once logged in, you’ll be directed to the dashboard where you can start creating images.

Step 2: Your first image

1. On the dashboard, click on the “Create” button.
2. Select an AI model from the dropdown menu (e.g., “Stable Diffusion” or “DALL-E”).
3. In the text box, type a prompt describing the image you want to create (e.g., "a sunset over a mountain range").
4. Adjust settings such as resolution and style if desired, then click the “Generate” button.
5. Wait a few moments for the image to be created, and it will appear on the canvas. You can edit it further by clicking on the image to access various editing tools.

Step 3: Get better results

1. Experiment with different prompts and styles to see how they affect the output.
2. Use specific adjectives and details in your prompts (e.g., “a vibrant sunset with purple clouds”) for more tailored results.
3. Adjust the settings, such as the number of iterations or aspect ratio, to refine the image quality.
4. Save your favourite images by clicking the “Download” button below the canvas.

Pro tip

Use the “Regenerate” button next to your image if you want to quickly create variations without having to re-enter your prompts. This can save you time and give you multiple options to choose from.

Common mistake to avoid

Avoid vague prompts like “a nice picture.” The more specific you are about what you want, the better the AI can generate an image that meets your expectations.
