Getting started with Prisma

In this guide, you will learn how to transform your ordinary photos into stunning artworks using Prisma. By the end, you'll be able to create beautiful images in various artistic styles with just a few taps on your mobile device.

Step 1: Sign up and set up

1. Download the Prisma app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).
2. Open the app and tap "Get Started" on the welcome screen.
3. You can choose to sign up using your email, Facebook, or Google account. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete your registration.
4. Once signed up, allow the app to access your photos by selecting "Allow" when prompted.

Step 2: Your first artwork

1. On the home screen, tap the "+" button (usually at the bottom centre).
2. Choose a photo from your gallery or take a new one by tapping the camera icon.
3. After selecting your photo, wait for the image to load.
4. Browse through the available artistic styles at the bottom of the screen. You can swipe left or right to see more options.
5. Tap on a style to apply it to your photo. The app will process your image, which may take a few seconds.
6. Once processed, you can adjust the intensity of the effect using the slider that appears.
7. When you're satisfied with the result, tap "Save" or "Share" to download the artwork or post it on social media.

Step 3: Get better results

• Experiment with different styles to find the one that best suits your photo.
• Use the "Adjust" feature to fine-tune brightness, contrast, and saturation for improved results.
• Try combining styles by saving your artwork and re-uploading it to apply a different effect for a unique look.

Most beginners miss the "Adjust" feature after applying a style. Use it to enhance your artwork further, making it more personalised and visually appealing.

Common mistake to avoid

Avoid using low-resolution images, as this can lead to pixelated results. Always select high-quality photos for the best transformation.
