Getting started with QuillBot

Step 1: Sign up and set up

1. Go to quillbot.com.
2. Click on the “Sign Up” button in the top right corner.
3. Choose to sign up using your email or Google account.
4. Once signed in, you’ll have access to the free plan, which allows basic paraphrasing.

Step 2: Your first paraphrase

1. On the homepage, locate the text box that says "Enter text" in the centre.
2. Paste or type the text you wish to paraphrase into this box.
3. Select a mode from the drop-down menu above the text box (e.g., Standard, Fluency, or Formal).
4. Click the “Paraphrase” button to see the rewritten text appear in the box below.
5. Review the output and make any additional adjustments as needed.

Step 3: Get better results

• Experiment with different modes to find the one that best fits your writing style. For instance, use “Creative” for informal writing and “Formal” for professional documents.
• Adjust the “Synonyms” slider to control the level of word changes in your paraphrase.
• Use the “Grammar Checker” feature by clicking on the “Grammar” tab in the left menu, where you can paste text and receive suggestions for corrections.
