Getting started with Research Rabbit
In this guide, you’ll learn how to use Research Rabbit to visualise citation networks and discover related academic papers based on your research interests. After reading, you’ll be ready to create your own research collections and explore interconnected publications.Step 1: Sign up and set up
- Go to Research Rabbit.
- Click on the Sign Up button in the top right corner.
- Enter your email address and create a password, then click Create Account.
- Check your email for a verification link and follow the instructions to verify your account.
- Once verified, log in to your account.
Step 2: Your first collection
- On the dashboard, click Create New Collection.
- In the pop-up, name your collection (e.g., "AI Research") and click Create.
- Click on Add Seed Papers. You can search for papers by title, author, or DOI.
- Select a few relevant seed papers and click Add to Collection.
- After adding, you’ll see a visual map of citations related to your seed papers. Click on any node in the map to explore further connections and publications.
Step 3: Get better results
- To refine your visualisation, use the Filters option on the left sidebar. You can filter by publication year, type of research, or specific authors.
- Click on the Recommendations tab to see suggested papers based on your collection.
- Regularly update your collection by adding new seed papers as you discover them, which will keep your visualisation current and relevant.
