Getting started with ResearchRabbit

Step 1: Sign up and set up

  1. Go to ResearchRabbit.
  2. Click on the "Sign Up" button located at the top right of the homepage.
  3. Fill in your details (name, email, password) and click "Create Account".
  4. Confirm your email address by clicking the link in the confirmation email you receive.
  5. Log in to your new account.
  1. Once logged in, you'll be taken to your dashboard. Click on the "Add Seed Paper" button.
  2. Enter the title, DOI, or author of a paper you want to start with and click "Search".
  3. Select the correct paper from the list that appears.
  4. ResearchRabbit will generate a visual network of related papers. Click on any paper in the network to explore more details or add it to your collection.
  5. To save papers, click the "Save" button next to each paper you want to keep track of.

Step 3: Get better results

  1. Use the "Filters" option on the left sidebar to narrow down results by publication year, author, or type of study.
  2. Set up alerts by clicking on the "Alerts" tab on your dashboard, then "Create Alert" to receive notifications for new publications related to your seed paper.
  3. Regularly check back on your dashboard to see updates in your research network.

Pro tip

Use the "Export" feature to download your saved papers in a BibTeX format. This can save you time when compiling your references for papers or presentations.

Common mistake to avoid

Many users forget to set up alerts after adding their seed paper. Make sure to create alerts to stay updated on new research without having to manually check back every time.
