Getting started with ScholarAI

In this guide, you'll learn how to quickly set up ScholarAI and use it to search for and summarise academic literature. By the end, you'll be able to streamline your research process and extract key insights from scientific papers.

Step 1: Sign up and set up

  1. Go to scholarai.io.
  2. Click on the “Sign Up” button located in the top right corner.
  3. Enter your email address and create a password, then click “Create Account”.
  4. Check your email for a verification link and click it to activate your account.
  5. Log in with your new credentials.
  1. Once logged in, you'll land on the dashboard. Enter a keyword or phrase related to your research topic in the search bar at the top.
  2. Click the “Search” button (magnifying glass icon).
  3. Browse through the list of relevant papers. Click on a paper title to view its details.
  4. On the paper’s page, click the “Summarise” button to generate a concise overview of the paper.
  5. Review the summary generated by ScholarAI to extract key insights.

Step 3: Get better results

  1. Use specific keywords or phrases to refine your searches, such as including the author’s name or publication year for more targeted results.
  2. Experiment with the “Advanced Search” option (if available) to filter results by fields such as publication type or date.
  3. Save important papers to your “Favourites” by clicking the star icon next to the title for easy access later.

Pro tip

To save time, create a list of keywords or phrases relevant to your research topic before starting your searches. This will help you quickly find the most pertinent papers without having to think on the spot.

Common mistake to avoid

Avoid using overly broad or vague search terms, as they can yield thousands of irrelevant results. Instead, be specific to ensure you get the most useful papers for your research.
