Getting started with Sender

In this guide, you will learn how to set up your Sender account and create your first email marketing campaign. By the end, you’ll be ready to engage your audience with effective email and SMS marketing.

Step 1: Sign up and set up

  1. Go to Sender's website.
  2. Click on the Sign Up button in the top right corner.
  3. Fill out the registration form with your email address and a password, or sign up using your Google account for quicker access.
  4. Confirm your email address by clicking the link in the verification email sent to you.
  5. Once verified, log in to your new account.

Step 2: Your first campaign

  1. From the dashboard, click on the Create Campaign button.
  2. Choose whether you want to create an Email or SMS campaign.
  3. For an email campaign, select Email Campaign.
  4. Enter your campaign name and choose your recipient list or create a new one by clicking Add New List.
  5. Click Next to design your email. You can choose from pre-made templates or use the drag-and-drop editor.
  6. Edit the subject line and the body of the email. Make sure to add a clear call to action (CTA).
  7. Once you’re satisfied, click Send to dispatch immediately or Schedule to set a future date and time.

Step 3: Get better results

  1. Use Personalisation Tags to address your recipients by name. This can be added by clicking on the placeholder button (usually looks like a tag icon) in the editor.
  2. Segment your audience using the Lists feature to target specific groups based on their preferences or behaviour.
  3. Monitor your campaign performance by checking the Reports section after sending. Look for open rates and click-through rates to refine future campaigns.

Pro tip

Take advantage of the A/B Testing feature when creating your campaigns. This allows you to test different subject lines or content to see which performs better, helping you optimise your future emails.

Common mistake to avoid

Avoid sending emails without testing them first. Use the Preview feature to see how your email looks on different devices and ensure all links work correctly before sending.
