Getting started with Sisense
In this guide, you'll learn how to set up your Sisense account and create your first interactive dashboard. By the end, you'll be able to embed analytics into your applications efficiently.Step 1: Sign up and set up
- Go to the Sisense website.
- Click on the "Get Started" button located at the top right corner.
- Fill in the required information to create your account. You may need to verify your email to activate your account.
- Once logged in, you'll be taken to the Sisense dashboard. Familiarise yourself with the interface, including the navigation menu on the left side.
Step 2: Your first dashboard
- Click on “Create Dashboard” from the dashboard menu.
- Choose a data source by clicking on “Add Data” in the top right corner. You can connect to various databases or upload files (like CSV).
- After selecting your data source, you will see a data model. Drag and drop the relevant fields into the workspace to start building your dashboard.
- Use the “Visualisations” panel on the right to select chart types (e.g., bar, line, pie) and drag them into your dashboard.
- Adjust settings for each visualisation by clicking on it and using the options that appear.
- Once satisfied, click “Save” at the top right to save your dashboard.
Step 3: Get better results
- Explore the “Dashboard Settings” to adjust layout and themes for better presentation.
- Use filters and parameters to allow users to interact with the data more effectively. You can add these from the "Add Filter" option in the dashboard.
- Regularly check the “Insights” tab to analyse how users are interacting with your dashboard, helping you make data-driven improvements.
