Getting started with SocialPilot

In this guide, you'll learn how to set up SocialPilot and start scheduling your social media posts efficiently. By the end, you'll be able to manage multiple accounts from one dashboard and access essential analytics.

Step 1: Sign up and set up

  1. Go to SocialPilot's website.
  2. Click on the Sign Up button in the top right corner.
  3. Choose to sign up with your email or connect via Google or Facebook.
  4. Fill in the required information and click Create Account.
  5. Confirm your email address through the verification link sent to your inbox.
  6. Once confirmed, log in and set up your profile by selecting your preferred time zone and adding your social media accounts via the Accounts tab on the left sidebar.

Step 2: Your first post

  1. Click on the Posts tab in the left sidebar.
  2. Select Create Post at the top right.
  3. Choose the social media accounts you want to post to by ticking the boxes next to each account.
  4. Write your post content in the text box. You can also add images or links.
  5. Use the Schedule button to pick a date and time for the post or click Publish Now to post immediately.
  6. Click Schedule or Publish to complete the process.

Step 3: Get better results

  1. Explore the Analytics tab to view insights on your posts’ performance.
  2. Use the Best Time to Post feature in the Analytics section to identify optimal posting times based on past engagement.
  3. Experiment with different content formats (images, links, videos) to see what resonates best with your audience.
  4. Use the Content Curation feature to discover and share relevant articles directly from the dashboard.

Pro tip

Use the Bulk Scheduling feature to upload multiple posts at once. You can prepare a CSV file with your content and schedule it all in one go, saving you time on repetitive tasks.

Common mistake to avoid

Avoid scheduling posts without checking the preview. Ensure your formatting appears correctly, and links work as intended before finalising your posts. This will prevent any embarrassing mistakes that could affect your brand's image.
