Getting started with Sourcely
In this guide, you’ll learn how to quickly find academic sources and manage citations using Sourcely. You'll be able to paste your text, analyse it for citation needs, and access a vast database of research papers.Step 1: Sign up and set up
- Go to Sourcely's website.
- Click on the “Sign Up” button located at the top right corner of the homepage.
- Fill in the required details, including your email and a password, then click “Create Account”.
- Check your email for a verification link and click it to activate your account.
Step 2: Your first citation search
- Log in to your Sourcely account.
- On the dashboard, locate the text box that says “Paste your text here”.
- Copy and paste your research text into this box.
- Click the “Analyse” button below the text box.
- Review the highlighted sections indicating where citations are needed.
- Click on any highlighted section to see suggested sources. You can click on a source to view more details and copy the citation.
Step 3: Get better results
- For more accurate suggestions, ensure your text is clear and concise. Avoid jargon where possible.
- Use the “Filter” options to narrow down your search by publication date, type, or relevance.
- Take advantage of the “Save” feature to keep track of useful sources for future reference.
