Getting started with Spacelift

Step 1: Sign up and set up

1. Go to Spacelift's website.
2. Click on the "Get Started for Free" button on the homepage.

Step 2: Your first project

1. Once logged in, click on the "New Stack" button on your dashboard.

1. Explore the "Settings" tab for your stack to customise your CI/CD workflows.
2. Enable the Saturnhead AI assistant by clicking on the "AI Recommendations" toggle in the settings.
3. Use the "Insights" section to review performance metrics and recommendations for optimising your infrastructure management.
4. Regularly check the "Notifications" tab to stay updated on stack health and deployment status.

Pro tip

Set up a webhook in your VCS to trigger deployments automatically when changes are pushed. This saves you time by eliminating the need to manually initiate runs after every code update.

Common mistake to avoid

Avoid skipping the configuration of environment variables during stack setup. Incorrect or missing variables can lead to deployment failures and delays in your workflow. Always double-check these settings before running your stack.
