How to Use Superblocks

A practical guide to get you up and running with Superblocks. Written by Delv Editorial, Delv Team.

Getting started with Superblocks

In this guide, you'll learn how to create your first internal application using Superblocks, a low-code platform that simplifies app development. By the end, you'll be able to build an app visually and access the underlying code for customisation.

Step 1: Sign up and set up

  1. Go to Superblocks website.
  2. Click on the "Get Started Free" button on the homepage.
  3. Fill in your details to create an account or sign up using a Google account.
  4. Once you're logged in, you will be directed to your dashboard where you can start creating apps.

Step 2: Your first app

  1. On the dashboard, click on the "Create New App" button.
  2. Choose a template or select "Blank App" to start from scratch.
  3. Use the drag-and-drop interface to add components like buttons, forms, and tables to your app. Click on the component you want to add from the left sidebar and drag it onto the canvas.
  4. To configure a component, click on it and adjust settings in the right sidebar.
  5. Once your layout is ready, click the "Preview" button at the top right to see your app in action.
  6. To save your app, click the "Save" button in the top left corner.

Step 3: Get better results

  • To enhance your app, explore the "Clark AI" feature by clicking on the "AI Code" button in the toolbar. This allows you to generate code snippets for more complex functionalities.
  • Use the "Settings" menu to configure app permissions and data sources for your app.
  • Make use of the "Collaborate" feature to invite team members for real-time editing by clicking on the "Share" button.

Pro tip

Use the "Version Control" feature found in the app settings to save multiple iterations of your app. This allows you to easily revert to previous versions if needed.

Common mistake to avoid

Avoid neglecting the "Preview" feature. Many beginners skip it, missing out on the chance to test their app's functionality before finalising it. Always preview your app to ensure everything works as intended.
