Getting started with Supermetrics

In this guide, you'll learn how to set up Supermetrics and create your first data report from various marketing channels. You'll be able to pull data into a single report, saving you time and effort.

Step 1: Sign up and set up

  1. Go to the Supermetrics website.
  2. Click on the “Get started for free” button in the top right corner.
  3. Create an account using your email address or sign up with Google.
  4. Once registered, you'll be prompted to connect your marketing platforms. Choose the platforms you want to pull data from (e.g., Google Ads, Facebook Ads) and authorise access.

Step 2: Your first report

  1. From the dashboard, click on “Create a new report”.
  2. Select the data source you want to use (e.g., Google Ads).
  3. Choose the specific metrics you want to include in your report (e.g., clicks, impressions).
  4. Set the date range for the data you want to pull.
  5. Click “Get data” to generate your report. The data will load in a matter of seconds, and you can view it directly on the screen.

Step 3: Get better results

  1. Use filters to refine your data. Click on “Add filter” and select criteria like campaign names or time periods to focus on specific data sets.
  2. Save your report by clicking the “Save report” button and giving it a name. You can easily access it later.
  3. Schedule automatic updates by clicking on the “Schedule” button to have reports sent to your email at regular intervals.

Pro tip

Use the “Template Gallery” in the dashboard to find pre-made report templates that match your needs. This can save you time setting up your reports and help you see what’s possible.

Common mistake to avoid

A common mistake is not authorising all necessary data sources during the initial setup. Make sure you connect all platforms you plan to use right away to avoid delays later on.
