Getting started with Tailwind

In this guide, you will learn how to set up Tailwind and create engaging content for Pinterest, Instagram, and email marketing. You’ll be ready to use the AI-powered Ghostwriter feature to generate captivating captions and copy in no time.

Step 1: Sign up and set up

1. Go to Tailwind's website.
2. Click on the Sign Up button in the top right corner.
3. Choose to sign up with your email or connect your Pinterest or Instagram account.
4. Follow the prompts to complete your profile setup, including selecting your marketing goals.
5. Take note of the free tier, which allows you to manage one Pinterest and one Instagram account with limited features.

Step 2: Your first post

1. From the dashboard, click on Create in the left sidebar.
2. Select either Pin for Pinterest or Post for Instagram.
3. Upload your image by clicking on the Upload Image button.
4. Enter a few keywords or phrases in the Ghostwriter section to generate captions.
5. Click Generate and select a caption you like.
6. Set your posting time by clicking on the Schedule button, then choose your desired time.
7. Finally, click Save or Publish to share your content.

Step 3: Get better results

• For Pinterest, use the SmartSchedule feature to post at optimal times for engagement. Click on the Schedule tab and enable SmartSchedule to let Tailwind suggest the best times.
• For email marketing, navigate to the Email section and use the Ghostwriter to create engaging subject lines and body text. Input keywords relevant to your audience for tailored results.

Pro tip

Use the Content Calendar feature to plan and visualise your posts for the month. This allows you to see your content at a glance and adjust your strategy as needed.

Common mistake to avoid

Don’t skip the keyword input in the Ghostwriter tool. Providing specific keywords helps the AI generate more relevant and engaging content, improving your overall marketing effectiveness.
