  1. Go to Tidio's website.
  2. Click on the "Get Started Free" button.
  3. Enter your email address and create a password or sign up using a Google account.
  4. Once signed in, you'll be prompted to set up your first chat widget. Choose a name for your project and click "Next".
  5. Select your business type and click "Next" again. You will then be directed to the dashboard.

Step 2: Your first chatbot

  1. In the Tidio dashboard, click on "Chatbots" from the left-hand menu.
  2. Click the "Create New Bot" button.
  3. Choose a template or start from scratch. If you select a template, click on it and then click "Use Template".

Step 3: Get better results

  1. Utilise the "Automations" feature by clicking on "Automations" in the left-hand menu. Here, you can set triggers based on customer behaviour.
  2. Customise your chatbot's responses by clicking on "Chatbots" and editing the message texts to reflect your brand's voice.
  3. Monitor chat performance through the "Statistics" section to see how well your chatbot is handling enquiries and adjust accordingly.

Pro tip

Use the "Integrations" section to connect Tidio with your existing e-commerce platforms like Shopify or WooCommerce. This allows for automatic updates and smoother interactions with customers.

Common mistake to avoid

Avoid setting overly complex conversation flows. Start simple and gradually add complexity as you become more comfortable with the tool. This helps prevent confusion for both you and your customers.
