Getting started with Typecast
With Typecast, you will be able to create high-quality voiceovers using diverse character voices for your media projects. This guide will take you from signing up to producing your first audio clip in just a few minutes.Step 1: Sign up and set up
- Go to Typecast's website.
- Click on the “Sign Up” button in the top right corner.
- Choose to sign up using your email or a Google account.
- Fill in the required details and confirm your email address.
- Once logged in, explore the dashboard where you can find various features and settings.
Step 2: Your first voiceover
- On the dashboard, click the “Create New Project” button.
- Select “Text-to-Speech” from the options.
- In the text box, type or paste the script you want to convert to voice.
- Choose a character voice from the dropdown menu on the right. You can listen to samples by clicking the play button next to each voice.
- Adjust settings like pitch and speed using the sliders below the voice selection.
- Click the “Generate” button to create your audio.
- Once processed, click the “Download” button to save your voiceover file.
Step 3: Get better results
- Experiment with different character voices to find the one that fits your project best.
- Use punctuation effectively in your script to improve the natural flow of the voiceover.
- Try combining multiple voices in one project for varied character interactions. Simply add more text boxes and select different voices for each.
