How to Use Typefully

Getting started with Typefully

In this guide, you'll learn how to write, schedule, and optimise your Twitter/X posts using Typefully. By the end, you'll be able to create engaging threads and manage your Twitter/X presence efficiently.

Step 1: Sign up and set up

1. Go to Typefully's website.
2. Click on the Get Started for Free button.
3. Sign up using your email address or connect with Twitter/X for a quicker setup.
4. Once logged in, you'll be taken to the main dashboard.

Step 2: Your first thread

1. On the dashboard, click on the New Thread button.
2. In the text box, start typing your first tweet. You can break your content into multiple tweets by pressing Enter to create new lines.
3. Use the AI Suggestions button (lightbulb icon) to get writing prompts or ideas.
4. Once your thread is ready, click on the Schedule button to choose a date and time for posting or the Publish Now button to post immediately.

Step 3: Get better results

1. Use the Analytics tab on the left sidebar to track the performance of your threads. This will help you understand what works best.
2. Experiment with the Thread Composer by using different formats (questions, lists, tips) to see what engages your audience.
3. Regularly check the Trending Topics feature to incorporate relevant hashtags and themes into your threads for greater visibility.

Pro tip

Take advantage of the Drafts feature. Save your ideas as drafts to refine later, allowing you to work on multiple threads without losing any concepts.

Common mistake to avoid

Avoid publishing threads without reviewing them first. Always double-check for typos and clarity, as these can affect engagement and your professional image.
