How to Use UXPilot

A practical guide to get you up and running with UXPilot. Written by Delv Editorial, Delv Team.

Getting started with UXPilot

In this guide, you'll learn how to create high-fidelity wireframes and UI designs quickly using UXPilot. By the end, you will be able to generate designs from prompts and optimise your workflow.

Step 1: Sign up and set up

  1. Go to uxpilot.ai.
  2. Click on the "Sign Up" button in the top right corner.
  3. Enter your email address and create a password, or sign up using a Google account.
  4. Verify your email if prompted.
  5. Once signed in, you’ll be taken to the dashboard where you can start creating designs.

Step 2: Your first design

  1. On the dashboard, click the "Create New Project" button.
  2. Choose a project type (e.g., "Web App" or "Mobile App").
  3. In the prompt box, type a description of the design you want, such as "a login page with email and password fields."
  4. Click the "Generate" button.
  5. Wait a few moments for UXPilot to create your wireframe. Once done, you can view and edit the design elements directly on the canvas.

Step 3: Get better results

  1. Use specific prompts for better outcomes. Instead of "a settings page," try "a settings page with toggle switches for notifications and a dark mode option."
  2. Explore the "Templates" section to find pre-made components that fit your design needs.
  3. Adjust styles by clicking on the elements and using the right sidebar to change colours, fonts, and layouts.

Pro tip

If you often create similar designs, save them as templates. Click on the "Save as Template" button after finalising your design to reuse it later.

Common mistake to avoid

Avoid vague prompts like "a nice page." Instead, be descriptive about the elements you need. This will help UXPilot generate more relevant designs, saving you time and effort.
