Getting started with Verbit
In this guide, you'll learn how to set up your Verbit account and perform your first transcription task. By the end, you’ll be able to convert audio and video content into accurate text quickly and efficiently.Step 1: Sign up and set up
- Go to Verbit's website.
- Click on the "Get Started" button located at the top right corner.
- Choose your plan (note that Verbit primarily offers paid plans).
- Fill in your details to create your account and click on "Sign Up".
- Check your email for a confirmation link and click it to verify your account.
Step 2: Your first transcription
- Log in to your Verbit account.
- From the dashboard, click on the "Upload" button, usually found in the centre of the screen.
- Select the audio or video file you want to transcribe (ensure it meets the supported formats).
- Choose your transcription settings, such as language and any special requirements (e.g., speaker identification).
- Click on the "Start Transcription" button.
- Wait for the transcription to complete. You’ll receive a notification once it’s ready.
- Review the transcription in the "Transcriptions" section and make any necessary edits.
Step 3: Get better results
- Use the "Real-time Insights" feature to get immediate feedback during the transcription process.
- Enable "Keyword Extraction" to pull important terms from your content automatically.
- For better accuracy, upload high-quality audio or video files and ensure clear speech.
- If you need translations, select the "Translate" option after your transcription is complete.
