Getting started with Visily
In this guide, you'll learn how to quickly set up Visily and create your first interactive prototype from a sketch. By the end, you’ll be able to turn simple ideas into impressive designs without needing advanced skills.Step 1: Sign up and set up
- Go to Visily's website.
- Click on the Sign Up button in the top right corner.
- Enter your email and create a password, or sign up using Google or GitHub.
- Confirm your email address if prompted.
- Once logged in, you'll be taken to the dashboard where you can start your projects.
Step 2: Your first prototype
- On the dashboard, click on the New Project button.
- Select Create from Sketch.
- Upload a photo of your sketch by clicking on the Upload button or dragging and dropping the image.
- Once uploaded, Visily will analyse your sketch and convert it into a digital prototype.
- You can then edit elements by clicking on them; adjust size, colour, or text through the right-hand properties panel.
- Click on the Preview button to see your prototype in action.
Step 3: Get better results
- Use the Design Library on the left sidebar to add pre-built components like buttons, forms, and icons to your prototype.
- Experiment with the Auto Layout feature to arrange elements neatly. Click on the Layout button in the properties panel.
- To enhance interactivity, use the Link feature to connect screens. Select an element, click on the Link icon, and choose the destination screen.
