Getting started with Visme

In this guide, you'll learn how to create stunning visuals quickly using Visme's AI design generation feature. By the end, you’ll be able to transform text prompts into professional designs in just a few clicks.

Step 1: Sign up and set up

1. Go to Visme's website.
2. Click on the Sign Up button in the top right corner.
3. Choose to sign up with your email or via Google or Facebook.
4. Follow the prompts to verify your account and set up your profile.
5. Once logged in, you’ll land on the dashboard. You can start with a free tier to explore basic features.

Step 2: Your first design

1. On your dashboard, click Create New and select Presentation, Infographic, or Social Media Graphic.
2. In the template library, use the search bar to find a template that fits your needs, or start from scratch by selecting Blank.
3. Once in the editor, click on AI Design in the left sidebar.
4. Enter your text prompt in the provided field, then click Generate.
5. Choose from the AI-generated designs that appear and click on one to apply it to your project.
6. Edit any text, colours, or elements by clicking on them directly on the canvas or using the options in the right sidebar.

Step 3: Get better results

• To enhance your design, use the Customisation options in the right sidebar to adjust fonts, colours, and layouts according to your brand.
• Explore the Elements tab for icons and images to add more visual interest.
• Use the Download button in the top right to export your design in various formats like PNG or PDF.

Pro tip

Most beginners overlook the Brand Kit feature. Set this up in the Brand section of the dashboard to save time on consistent branding across all your designs.

Common mistake to avoid

Avoid using overly complicated text prompts with the AI Design feature. Simple and clear prompts yield better results and save you time in the editing phase.
