Getting started with Web of Science Research Assistant
After reading this guide, you'll be able to navigate the Web of Science Research Assistant, search for research papers, and generate summaries of key insights quickly and efficiently.Step 1: Sign up and set up
- Go to the Web of Science Research Assistant website.
- Click on the "Sign Up" button located in the top right corner of the page.
- Fill in the required fields, including your name, email address, and password.
- Confirm your email address via the link sent to your inbox.
- Log in with your new credentials.
Step 2: Your first search
- Once logged in, you'll see a search bar on the homepage. Enter keywords related to your research topic.
- Click the "Search" button to retrieve relevant articles from the Web of Science database.
- Browse through the list of results. Click on any article title to view its details.
- To summarise an article, click the "Summarise" button located on the article's page. This will generate a concise overview of key insights.
Step 3: Get better results
- Use specific keywords or phrases to narrow down your search results.
- Filter results by publication date, authors, or types of articles using the options on the left sidebar.
- Save important articles by clicking the "Save" icon to create a personalised library for easy access later.
